ATCO also constructed and installed workforce accommodation for a 20,000 man camp – one of the largest in the world – to house construction workers for the Saadyiat Island project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, ATCO Australia delivers a full range of energy infrastructure services. ATCO Australia is focused on developing, building, owning and operating energy and infrastructure assets, drawing upon the expertise of ATCO's Global Business Units in electricity generation, the transmission and distribution of electricity and natural gas, water infrastructure solutions, and natural gas gathering, processing, storage and liquids extraction.

Through our Structures & Logistics Global Business Unit, ATCO delivers custom-designed building solutions from concept to completion for Indigenous and other remote communities. Using a combination of off-site and on-site construction technologies, the most remote community facilities can be built faster and of higher quality. Architecturally appealing, affordable, energy efficient and easy to maintain, ATCO Sustainable Communities' projects reflect the culture and values of the community. Last year, we signed a Relationship Agreement with Chief Peguis Investment Corp., the economic development arm of the Peguis First Nation to work together to provide infrastructures solutions to communities throughout Manitoba.

Electricity

With Saskatchewan’s strong economic growth, the need for modern workforce housing, reliable modular buildings and mobile offices that support the energy, agriculture and mining industries has never been greater. Pipelines & Liquids

In 2016, ATCO re-established a position in Chile by expanding our modular structures business through a 50/50 partnership in ATCO Sabinco S.A. Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, Sabinco’s fleet of nearly 2,500 space rental and workforce housing units accounts for approximately 10 per cent of the Chilean market. Sabinco’s established presence in Chile also provides a strong foundation upon which the partnership can expand.
In September 2018, we also announced the acquisition of a 40 per cent interest in Neltume Ports, a leading port operator and developer in South America. Neltume Ports, a subsidiary of Ultramar, operates in 16 port facilities and three stevedoring businesses primarily located in Chile and Uruguay.
Defense support services are provided by ATCO Frontec Europe Ltd (AFE) - a subsidiary of ATCO Structures & Logistics Ltd. AFE specializes in the provision of camps and related services to military and disaster relief operations for NATO, the UN, defense departments and non-government organizations. AFE operates in some of the most challenging environments in the world.

ATCO Mexico
ATCO entered the Mexico market in August 2014, with a growth plan modeled after ATCO’s Canadian and Australian operations which consist of the diverse yet complementary businesses of electricity generation, natural gas and electricity transmission and distribution, and workforce accommodation and site services.
In October 2014, ATCO was awarded a contract by Comisión Federal De Electricidad to design, build and operate a natural gas pipeline near Tula in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico.
Also in October, ATCO and partner Grupo Hermes S.A. de C.V. were selected by Pemex to begin the project development and approval process for a natural gas Cogeneration power plant.
